Recently wrapped up this Post-WW2 Sniper Character personal project.

One of the main goals was to push my Marvelous Designer and ZBrush workflow for clothing. While I've used both tools before, this was my first time taking a highly detailed garment all the way through production, from simulation to final sculpted details and rendering.

The character was sculpted in ZBrush, with TexturingXYZ used for skin detail. The outfit was created in Marvelous Designer and refined in ZBrush. The Lee-Enfield rifle and boots were modeled in Maya and ZBrush; grooming was done with XGen; textures were painted in Substance Painter; and the final renders were produced with Arnold and graded in DaVinci Resolve.

One of the biggest challenges was balancing realistic clothing construction with sculpted detail while maintaining a game-style character aesthetic.

I hope you enjoy the final result.
